Haitham bin Tariq Sultan Oman left for Russia for a two -day trip, according to the Mehr News Agency.
He is due to meet with Russian Preside Vladimir Putin.
In a stateme from the Oman Royal Court, Yepash said in a stateme that King of Oman King Sultan Haitham bin Tariq will begin his official visit to Moscow on Monday, April 21, in response to Russian Preside Vladimir Putin’s invitation. According to the stateme, the purpose of the trip is to examine ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in differe areas and develop relations between the two couries.
During the trip, there will also be talks on curre and iernational issues. The King of Oman will accompany the official and high -ranking delegation that is expected to play an effective role in promoting agreemes and joi projects between Muscat and Moscow. The trip comes as the two couries have taken steps to deepen political, economic and cultural cooperation in rece years.
Earlier, the Kremlin had reported that the Russian preside would talk to Sultan Oman on Tuesday. Two leaders are expected to examine key areas of cooperation, including business, economic, financial and investme relations, as well as cultural and humanitarian relations.
