According to a rece study led by Dr. Hamza Mehrabi, a member of the Faculty of Geology at the University of Tehran Sciences, in collaboration with Zahra Pouyfard and Mohammad Bastar, a graduate graduate of the University of Tehran, and the University of Vinsor, and the University of Vinsor.
Dr. Mehrabi said in the iroduction of the study: “Dolomite is a kind of sedimeary carbonate, coaining large amous of CAMG (CO3) 2). One of the geological processes in parts of the Persian Gulf was dolomite or the formation of dolomitic stones. This process has influenced the reservoir quality of the Darian Formation in the three oil / gas fields of the Persian Gulf. In this study, the process of dolomite in this formation was studied by petrographic studies of brain samples and thin sections with cathodemia microscopy, carbon and oxygen isotopic analysis, and fluid studies involved. “
Describing the phenomenon of dolomite, he said: “In the process of hydrothermal dolomism, the ololite filler is formed by fractures and holes. Stylolite -related dolomite occurs in domina flower facies and focuses on fine to medium crystals with the ceer of opaque and transpare margins, mainly along the extensive seams and stylolite. “Bacterial dolomite in the ideified algae facies indicating the role of microbial iermediary in their formation.”
“Geochemical data (δ¹³C and δ¹⁸o) and cathodoluminescence support the proposed diagonal model and show differe stages and conditions of dolomite formation,” the sedimeary researcher said. “The fluid analysis involved in xenomic and stylistic dolomite and the salinity conditions (equivale to 2.5% NACL) and temperature (2 ° C) reveal the propeller to the diagrams of the land.”
“This study shows that the digitalization process, especially improving permeability, is found, so that the highest quality of the tank is found in the dolomiticic facies of the lower carbonate sector,” said the research group supervisor.
The results of this study are recely published by Elsevier in Marine and Petroleum Geology.
