“Designing, manufacturing and evaluating the ammonia absorption system of chicken manure during the process of drying up” is a doctoral dissertation of Mehdi Khodadadi, which has been conducted with the guidance of Aminullah Masoumi and with the support of the National Iranian Science Foundation.
According to RCO News Agency, Mehdi Khodadadi, with a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, explained: Due to the rapid growth of poultry industry and, therefore, the production of large volumes of fertilizer and waste in the past decades, the problems of storage and excretion of chicken fertilizer have caused air, water and soil coamination. Therefore, the need to find effective and effective technologies and technologies is economically and environmeally friendly to use such a large volume of fertilizer and poultry waste.
“Therefore, it is importa to achieve a way that attracts ammonia of poultry fertilizer, which is the main cause of its unpleasa odor, in addition to being effective in reducing environmeal pollution,” he said. In addition, the use of ammonia absorbed as agricultural fertilizer is also importa.
Referring to the goals of the study, the researcher said: “Investigating the amou of ammonia emissions and its changes during the process of drying the chicken manure and its modeling through the level of response and design, manufacture and evaluation of the ammonia absorption system of chicken manure during the drying process using a weak acidity in a deterge.
He added: The results of this plan showed that the efficiency of the system designed in ammonia absorption was 4.9 % and the amou of ammonium conceration in the absorbe solution was 1.5 grams per liter. Iron and calcium are also the most abunda elemes in the adsorption solution with an average of 1 and 2.5 mg/l, respectively.
According to the National Science Foundation of Iran, Khodadadi noted at the end: According to the poultry and fertilizer processing units, as well as the iroduction of a chicken manure processing machine to farmers and livestock and poultry farmers to enhance the value of poultry manure and help the economy of the poultry and livestock industry.
