Reuters: Europe is ready to impose new sanctions on Russia

Ukrainian European allies are seeking new sanctions against Russia, according to foreign ministers of European couries and senior EU officials.
The Spanish, Germany, France, Italy, British and Poland ministers, along with senior EU diplomat and the EU Defense Commissioner, announced Monday that they are ready to impose new sanctions on Russia.
“We also use all existing tools, including the adoption of new sanctions, with the aim of preveing the coury’s ability to carry out its aggressive war against Ukraine, and to ensure that Ukraine is best possible,” Reuters reported in a joi stateme in Madrid on Monday’s meeting in Madrid.
The stateme comes after British Prime Minister Kerry Starmer and US Preside Donald Trump agreed in a rece phone call on the need for “coinuing collective pressure on Putin”.
