The most importa attraction of the Akita Cao Festival is the stunning display of skilled people (tall bamboo columns) with a row of paper laerns on top of them. Cao columns are in differe sizes, the largest of which is 2 meters long and 2 kg, carrying 2 paper laern and lit with real candles. With the sound of drums, flutes and screams, each person lifts a coorter column and maiains it vertically using differe techniques.
The main and stunning part of the Cao Festival is the night shows held every night in the Akita city ceer. More than 2 groups of executors are queue with cao columns; Then they all raise the columns and begin their performance. This magnifice show takes 5 minutes, and at the end of each night, the audience is given a chance to take pictures with the performers and experience the art of lifting the cao column.
Chichibu Night Festival, Chicibu City
One of the most beautiful night parade in Japan, which is accompanied by extraordinary fireworks, is called the Chichibu Night Festival.
