Telegraph: Britain and France seek to establish UN peacekeepers in Ukraine
The British newspaper wrote that Paris and London have apparely discouraged the plan after negotiating the plan of deploying foreign forces under the supervision of the West under the auspices of the Ukrainian peace mission and have been dispatched by UN -supervised UN -supervised peace forces to Ukraine.
French Preside Emmanuel Macron reported a possible plan to establish a delegation of UN -supervised UK forces in Ukraine with a peace mission at the time of implemeing a poteial peace agreeme.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Macron, along with British Prime Minister Carrot Starmer, planned a plan to create a “coalition of couries” among NATO and EU members aimed at forming a delegation of so -called “peaceful” forces for Ukraine as a security guaraee for other US security guaraees.
Starmer has hosted five senior European military leaders and other allies at a meeting at a military headquarters near London aimed at discussing these programs.
He claimed that the plan is eering the “operational stage”, but it is not yet clear how many couries wa to participate in their soldiers and how to impleme.
According to the report, Macron preseed an alternative plan to oversee the so -called peaceful military forces in Ukraine on Thursday, March 5, according to the European Council meeting on Thursday.
“Any UN peacemakers need to be approved by the Security Council, with Russia’s poteial opposition and possibly the United States, it seems unlikely to succeed,” the telegraph report said.
According to the report, Starmer claims that any poteial agreeme to end the war in Ukraine should be accompanied by security guaraees because Russia would violate the deal.
Senior military officials held a meeting on Thursday at the British Army’s headquarters in Ukraine to join the so -called “Coalition Coalition” project aimed at providing security guaraees to Kiev.
British Foreign Minister David Lami has also claimed that Russian Preside Vladimir Putin has no power to veto the poteial deployme of foreign soldiers in Ukraine.
