Ukraine and Russia exchanged the captives of war with each other
Ukraine and Russia have announced that they had exchanged a group of prisoners following the UAE.
According to RCO News Agency, Ukraine and Russia each exchanged four captives, according to the defense ministries of the two couries.
According to Anatolia, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that after talks with the Ukrainian side, four Russian soldiers were released from Ukraine -corolled areas.
Moscow also announced that he had released and delivered a captive of Ukrainian warfare, along with four severely injured Ukrainian soldiers in order to “show goodwill”.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the released Russian soldiers are currely in Belarus, where they will receive medical and psychological assistance and will be transferred to Russia for further treatme and rehabilitation.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rostam Omorov confirmed the liberation of a Ukrainian war with four wounded soldiers including severe injuries and three soldiers under Russian judicial authorities.
Omorov then thanked Ukrainian Preside Walodimir Zelnski for his commitme to the release of captives as well as the United Arab Emirates for its role in facilitating the exchange of captives.
The UAE has previously played a mediator role in the previous exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, and has used the leverage of its diplomatic relations with the parties to facilitate humanitarian negotiations.
