Pashinian: I’m ready to sign a draft peace deal with the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Armenian Prime Minister today (Wednesday) announced his readiness to sign the draft of the Treaty of peace agreeme with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
“The draft of the peace agreeme between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan has been agreed and the agreeme is awaiting signing,” ISNA reported in a stateme released on the X -Social Network. “I’m ready to put my signature on this agreed draft.”
The Pashinian remarks came after both the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia separately announced an agreeme on the draft of a peace treaty that was supposed to end decades between the parties and to establish diplomatic relations between Baku and Yerevan.
Both couries have experienced teal relations since the occupation of the Karabakh area (iernationally recognized as part of the Republic of Azerbaijan) and seven adjace areas by the Armenian Army.
Much of the area was released by the Republic of Azerbaijan during the six -day war that took place in the fall of 2; The war that ended after a peace deal with Russia’s iermediation ended. The agreeme paved the way for the start of normalization of relations between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In September, the Republic of Azerbaijan exercised its full sovereigy over Nagorno -Karabakh after surrendering the separatist forces in the area.
