The Arab summit, held in Cairo on Tuesday, supported the Egyptian proposal to rebuild Gaza, according to the Mehr News Agency. The plan is designed to couer US proposals to change the texture of the region and preve the Palestinian forced displaceme.

Details of Gaza Reconstruction Plan
According to reports, the Gaza Reconstruction Plan has three stages, which will take between four and five years.
The first stage (six mohs): A committee of Palestinian technocrats managed by the Palestinian Authority will clear the debris from Salah al-Din Street and the North-South-South Highway of Gaza.
Stage Two: Construction of 6,000 temporary housing units for accommodation of 1 million and 6,000 people and reconstruction of 6,000 damaged buildings.
Stage Three: Reconstruction of 6,000 permane homes, rebuilding Gaza Port and its Iernational Airport, and improving vital infrastructure including water, sewage, communications and electricity.
The executive mechanism and finance of the project
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, in response to a question about how the project is funded, emphasized that reconstruction manageme would be erusted to an independe iernational supervision eity. All financial resources will also be deposited io an iernational fund, possibly under the manageme of the World Bank, to ensure transparency and funding.
He added that Egypt and Jordan will play a role in reforming the Gaza police forces. There is a keen ierest in participating in this project, although funding will be a major challenge.

He said the Egyptian plan is now recognized as an official Arab plan and has the full support of all Arab couries.
In addition, iernational conferences are expected to be held to attract the necessary financial assistance to rebuild and develop Gaza.
