Calas: I am saddened by Trump’s support from Russia

In an ierview with Preside Donald Trump’s close relations with Russia, the EU’s Foreign Action Service Officer expressed concern that Washington would be away from the European Union and with “new friends”.
In an ierview, Kaya Kalaz, head of the EU foreign action service, said in an ierview that he “feels uncomfortable” to hear US Preside Donald Trump and other senior officials in rece weeks that repeat Russian narratives and pois about the Ukrainian war.
Calas’s remarks come after the former Estonian prime minister who has a seemingly impossible managing of EU relations with Trump’s Washington, after arriving in Washington last Tuesday, informed that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was a meeting.
The US State Departme claimed the cancellation of the meeting was “planned”, but European diplomats believe that it was a political decision by the Trump administration.
“You have to ask him why he canceled the meeting,” said Calis in an ierview with Axius.
He added that he had a good meeting with Rubio at the Munich Security Conference seven weeks ago and expected to meet him at Group Seven next moh.
Meanwhile, Trump, at the beginning of his cabinet meeting, was sitting next to Rubio, claiming that the European Union was “to harm” the United States in trade and repeated a 5 % tariff threat.
Axius wrote: Senior Trump officials have strongly attacked the European Union in trade, bypassing Ukraine and ierfering with the block’s domestic policies.
Calas acknowledged that he is concerned that the new US governme will remove itself from Europe and consult with what he called “new friends”.
“The statemes made to us are very sharp,” the senior European diplomat said. Statemes about Russia are very friendly. This is a change.
He poied out that the United States voted against its European allies this week against couries such as “North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Mali, Nicaragua and Haiti” in opposition to a resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Calas said: The Trump administration’s ieraction with Russia is what the preside of Vladimir Putin needs it, that is, iernational legitimacy.
He warned: Russia was to return to the iernational desk, as if nothing has happened. If we let this happen, then we will see more wars, not only in Europe (but elsewhere).
Responding to whether Trump is trying to divide the European Union, he said, “His statemes about Europe are very strong and the question is why they are so strong?” I mean, where all this comes from?
The US preside again invaded the European Union on Thursday at the beginning of his meeting with British Prime Minister Kerry Starmer.
“We have problems with the European Union, because they have imposed tariffs against us,” he said. They complain to our companies. We do not like how they treat our people. We do not like how they treat our companies.
