Calas: I am saddened by Trump’s support from Russia

Calas acknowledged that he is concerned that the new US governme will remove itself from Europe and consult with what he called “new friends”.

“The statemes made to us are very sharp,” the senior European diplomat said. Statemes about Russia are very friendly. This is a change.

He poied out that the United States voted against its European allies this week against couries such as “North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Mali, Nicaragua and Haiti” in opposition to a resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Calas said: The Trump administration’s ieraction with Russia is what the preside of Vladimir Putin needs it, that is, iernational legitimacy.

He warned: Russia was to return to the iernational desk, as if nothing has happened. If we let this happen, then we will see more wars, not only in Europe (but elsewhere).

Responding to whether Trump is trying to divide the European Union, he said, “His statemes about Europe are very strong and the question is why they are so strong?” I mean, where all this comes from?

The US preside again invaded the European Union on Thursday at the beginning of his meeting with British Prime Minister Kerry Starmer.
