Bloomberg: Trump is no longer willing to coinue supplying electricity for Africa

Bloomberg reported today (Wednesday) that the US initiative to increase electricity supply in Africa was dismaled by the Trump administration for more than a decade.
Almost all power supply programs for Africa are on the list and the majority of employees have been fired, according to ISNA.
Some of the programs that remain in place, especially those related to communication projects with US companies, may be corolled by US agencies.
The African Electricity Initiative, launched in the administration of US Preside Barack Obama, brought electricity to tens of millions of households across Africa.
“All programs are being investigated to rebuild the US ierests,” Bloomberg reported from a US State Departme spokesman. “Programs that benefit the national ierests will coinue and those who are corary to the US national benefit will be stopped.”
The African Electricity Initiative was under the supervision of the US Iernational Developme Agency, which is the first main purpose of measures to reduce the costs of the federal governme led by the governme’s efficiency departme.
