Bogdanov’s emphasis on the continuation of Russian aid to the Syrian people – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Preside’s Special Represeative for the Middle East and Africa, stressed that Russia would coinue to help the Syrians, according to the Mehr News Agency.

Speaking to the Russian newspaper Izostia, he said: “Syria is having a difficult time these days. We hope that the people of this coury successfully overcome the many problems that have caused the long crisis in this coury.

“We, in turn, are ready to coinue the help of the Syrian people,” he said.

He noted: Relations between the two couries have historically been based on friendship, the principles of mutual respect and the ierests of each other. I am confide that these relationships will also be mutually expanded in a way that will benefit both parties.

Bogdanov emphasized: Moscow has always supported Syria’s sovereigy, unity and territorial iegrity. We support the fact that the future of this coury must be determined by the Syrians themselves through the national dialogue and given the legitimate ierests of all political forces, ethnic and religious groups.
