Following information from our Consulate General in Erzurum, Turkey, the Turkish police in Erzurum were seized by the Turkish Police in Erzurum, images of seized objects for expert and autheication were provided to the Museums Office.
Following the approval of experts to belong a number of these objects to Iranian culture and civilization and request their extradition to the coury in the form of a UNESCO Conveion and on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding on Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on effective bilateral measures to preve ery and ery. The illegal exit of the two couries’ cultural and historical property was delivered to the Consul General of our coury during a ceremony by the Director General of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey and the Deputy Governor of Erzurum at the Erzurum Museum.
These objects included 2 fos, including a piece of sword belonging to the Sassanid period, an iron -style animal figure and bronze age, a number of glass and metal bowls, a copper pitcher and 5 historical coins belonging to Iran. Illegal ways and smuggled io Turkey have been seized in the provinces of Erzurum and Arzjan.
The collection of objects, in coordination with the Directorate General of Museums, was delivered to the coury in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the early February of this year and delivered to the cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of West Azerbaijan province.
