The new US defense minister: We are not looking to fight in a new war

J.D. Vance, the vice preside of the United States of America, said in his iroductory remarks at the inauguration ceremony that the Trump administration will “assist” in the deployme of American military forces around the world under the leadership of Hogst in the Departme of Defense.
Surrounded by his family, Hegst then raised his right hand and took the oath.
Hegst, who took to the microphone after being sworn in, thanked his wife and family for their support and Trump, saying the United States “couldn’t have had a better commander-in-chief (preside).”
He pledged that the United States would pursue “peace through strength” under his leadership at the Peagon.
During the vote to confirm Hogst’s qualifications, Vance voted to confirm Trump’s choice for the Departme of Defense by 51 votes to 50. According to CNN, Vance’s decision ended allegations of sexual assault, excessive drinking and financial mismanageme against Hegst.
Former Republican Party leader Mitch McConnell and Alaska Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins joined Democrats in opposing Heggst’s nomination, forcing Vance to become the second vice preside to vote to confirm the nomination.
In this regard, Hegst thanked the Vice Preside of the United States for this action in his speech.
In the coinuation of his speech, he promised to support American soldiers in “all parts of the world” and put America and the ierests of this coury as his priority.
“At the Peagon, we will restore our military strength,” Hegst coinued. “We are not looking for a new war, but we will preve them from happening with deterrence.”
He claimed: “But if we have to fight, we will eer the war with a large and powerful force.”
In the end, the new US defense secretary thanked Trump and the American citizens.
After Hegst’s speech, a question-and-answer session took place, and a reporter asked her how much trust women in the U.S. military should have in light of the allegations against her.
But the US vice preside preveed Hegst from answering and said himself: “All soldiers, regardless of their gender, should trust Hegst.”
Vance also said in response to another question about the possibility of disqualification of some proposed members of Trump’s cabinet: “It doesn’t matter, we won the election.”
