
According to the , citing the Geological Organization, Dr. Dariush Esmaili said at the meeting of the dialogue council between the governme and the private sector in the presence of the secretary and members of the Supreme Council of Mines in Yazd province, referring to Iran’s position among the couries with natural resources. With 27.5 trillion dollars worth of natural resources, it is the fifth coury in the world in terms of natural resource assets.
He added: The estimated amou of mineral reserves of the coury is over 1350 billion dollars of raw materials, and if we consider the processing of these reserves, we will realize the importance of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution’s expert saying that “Mining is one of the best alternatives to oil”.
Referring to the activities of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization of the coury, Esmaili said: one of the importa parts of this organization is the production of basic data, which is importa for all the activities of the coury, including the mining sector; In this regard, we have a 10-fold increase in data production and the use of all high-grade companies in the consulting sector and other fields to prepare basic maps and data.
The head of the Geological Organization also warned about the water crisis and land subsidence and said: “Currely, we have 144 billion cubic meters of groundwater imbalance, and if withdrawal from the groundwater aquifers is not managed, we will face more critical conditions than the curre situation.”
Esmaili added: Today, the inconsistency in gas and electricity has disrupted the economic activity of the coury, but if the necessary preveion is not done, the lack of water and land subsidence will have much worse effects.
Smartening all processes of the coury’s geological and mineral exploration organization
He further informed about the planning for ielligeization of all the processes of Geology and Mineral Exploration Organization in the next two years and called this action an importa step towards improving performance and transparency.
Esmaili stated: The preparation of 13 sheets of practical geological maps of Yazd province has been started since November 1402, of which 2 parts have been completed so far, and this project will be completed by the end of September this year.
Geological data exchange with the private sector
The head of the coury’s geological and mineral exploration organization said about the exchange of geological data with the private sector: “We are strict in the field of data and data dissemination so that we do not keep the data for more than three mohs and we try to provide them to the private sector.”
