The bill to withdraw from the World Health Organization in the Italian Parliame

Referring to Donald Trump’s order to withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization, Italy’s deputy prime minister demanded the cancellation of Italy’s membership in the organization and said that these funds can be spe inside Italy and for the citizens of this coury.
According to RCO News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini and the leader of the right-wing “League” party of Italy, which is part of the ruling coalition, has submitted a bill to the parliame that calls for withdrawal from the World Health Organization. This action was taken after US Preside Donald Trump announced that the United States would withdraw from the organization.
Salvini wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday: “This morning, the League party preseed to the parliame a bill that calls for the withdrawal from the World Health Organization, just as the United States did under the leadership of Donald Trump.”
He said the move would mean Italy would no longer be dealing with a transnational powerhouse, one “funded by generous Italian taxpayers and working hand-in-hand with multinational pharmaceutical companies.”
“Let’s use that 100 million to support paties in Italy and finance our own hospitals and doctors,” the Italian official wrote.
This proposal was criticized by the opposition parties and described as “crazy”. Opposition parties warned that leaving the UN health body could further isolate Italy on an iernational scale. The League party argued that the World Health Organization did not sufficiely coribute to the public ierest and that Italy’s commitme to it would not benefit the coury. He added that this money can be spe in better places.
