Putin and Pashinyan talked by phone

The Kremlin Palace announced in a stateme that Russian Preside Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Panshinyan spoke on the phone on Friday about Yerevan’s rece steps to get closer to the European Union.
According to RCO News Agency, the Kremlin said in a stateme referring to the conversation between the two leaders: “After the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council held in December 2024, some importa issues were discussed to deepen iegrated cooperation, especially in the field of energy. Significa practical benefits of joi cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, including for the Armenian economy, were emphasized.
The stateme coinues: “Pashinyan explained the situation related to Yerevan’s rece actions in the framework of relations with the European Union.” “The Russian leader made releva commes and evaluations in this regard.”
Last week, the Armenian governme supported the legislative initiative of pro-Western forces to start the process of joining the coury to the European Union.
