According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, US Secretary of State Ahony Blinken said: “We are on the verge of reaching a ceasefire agreeme in Gaza, and this may be achieved in the next few hours.”
He added: We have not yet reached the stage of signing the agreeme so that everything is complete.
The US Secretary of State said that if a ceasefire agreeme is reached in Gaza, this agreeme will be based on Joe Biden’s plan announced last May.
Blinken emphasized that this agreeme will lead to the beginning of a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the release of captives and prisoners, and an increase in aid.
Before this, the news media reported that the time of announcing the ceasefire agreeme in Gaza is near.
Axios also quoted US and Zionist officials as saying that efforts to achieve a ceasefire agreeme in Gaza are still ongoing in Doha.
In a conversation with Axios, these officials emphasized that small and unimporta issues will not disrupt the process of ceasefire negotiations.
