Astronauts in China’s Tiangong space station have received help from an “iellige” robot.
According to RCO News Agency, Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze are the crew members of the curre Shenzhou 19 mission on the Tiangong space station, along with a robot named Xiao Hang using human ieraction software. And the robot works.
According to Space, this software allows them to perform a variety of experimes related to human-robot spatial relationships, robot behavior characteristics, and multimodal ieraction technologies. According to China Ceral Television (CCTV), the purpose of these experimes is to help increase mission efficiency by fostering more effective ieraction between astronauts and robotic systems.
Xiao Heng can be seen moving and orieing in its microgravity environme and is able to capture images.
In the future, this robot can also perform various functions such as in-cabin inspection and resource manageme.
Meanwhile, the astronauts were doing various experimes. They recely completed activities including collecting Drosophila, emptying culture coainers and organizing samples. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of sub-magnetic fields and microgravity on insects.
