The Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan announced that 29 people survived the accide. Kazakh officials said on December 30 that the black boxes had been se to Brazil for decryption to ensure an impartial investigation. According to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the downing of this plane was the result of Russian air defense activity.
Peskov told reporters: “We are waiting for the results of the work of the releva commission that works in Kazakhstan and cooperates with Azerbaijan.” Our experts offer full cooperation in both areas. “We are ierested in conducting a completely objective and impartial investigation to determine the causes of this tragedy.”
The spokesperson of the Russian presidency added: “Russia provides all the necessary assistance to investigate the causes of the plane crash.”
In an ierview with reporters, Peskov discussed the accusations made by the Preside of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev about Moscow’s attempt to hide the incide of the plane crash. And he said: “The necessary instructions have been given to the investigation authorities and all the assistance and cooperation necessary to investigate the causes of this incide is being done. You know that Russian Preside Putin apologized and expressed regret.
Putin-Aliyev call
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that there have been no coacts between Vladimir Putin, Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in rece days.
“There were no coacts these days,” Peskov told reporters.
Stating that Russia is ierested in peace, stability, predictability and an atmosphere of trust in the South Caucasus, this Russian official added: “Russia values its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan and will work to develop relations with both couries.” “
Armenia in the European Union
Dimitri Peskov also said regarding Armenia’s desire to join the European Union, before talking about Armenia’s possible membership in the European Union, it is necessary to understand the position of Brussels. In its meeting today, the Armenian governme supported the legal plan to start the process of joining the European Union.
“We know that it is actually the European Union that starts the membership processes, and here we need to understand what the European Union’s position is on this matter,” Peskov told reporters. Membership in the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union is simply impossible, adding that the Eurasian Economic Union brings real benefits to Yerevan.”
Trump-Putin call
The Kremlin also says Trump’s team made no request to coact Putin.
In this regard, Peskov said, there has been no request from the team of Preside-elect Donald Trump to coact Vladimir Putin, and it is wise for Moscow to wait for him to take office.
“No, there has been no request,” Peskov told reporters. On the other hand, for obvious reasons, it’s better to wait uil Trump takes office. “If Trump’s political will for coacts coinues, Putin will welcome it, and the Russian preside has already spoken about his readiness for dialogue.”
Trump’s rhetoric against Greenland
According to the Kremlin, Donald Trump’s claims regarding Greenland remain at the level of statemes and are related to bilateral relations, but Russia is closely monitoring the developme of the situation.
In early January, Trump, who is set to take office on January 20, told reporters he could not guaraee he would not use military force to seize Greenland, a self-governing territory in Denmark. Following that, Peagon Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh said that there is currely no military plan to take corol of Greenland by force.
“Such claims are probably more related to the US’s bilateral relations with Denmark and other couries,” Peskov said. We are monitoring this relatively significa developme of the situation very closely, but so far it is only at the level of statemes. The Arctic is a region of national and strategic ierests of Russia. We are prese in the arctic region and will coinue to be there. We are ierested in maiaining the atmosphere of peace and stability in the Arctic region. And we are ready to cooperate with all the couries of the world in the name of this peace and stability everywhere and especially in the Arctic region.”
The spokesman added that Europe reacts cautiously to Trump’s statemes. “There are also differe words from Washington about people’s opinions,” Peskov said. Europe reacts very cautiously to this issue. “It’s clear that the reaction to Trump’s words is scary, so Europe is reacting very cautiously, modestly, quietly and almost in a whisper.”
Trump and the Panama Canal
In his speech today, the Kremlin spokesman also referred to Trump’s rhetoric about regaining corol of the Panama Canal and said that Russia is monitoring the exchange of statemes between Donald Trump and Panamanian officials about the corol of the Panama Canal, but this is a bilateral issue.
On December 22, Trump said he waed the Panama Canal to be quickly returned to American ownership, citing the high costs of crossing it and the presence of Chinese troops there. The politician emphasized that the Panama Canal is crucial for US trade and also for the rapid deployme of US naval forces in the Atlaic and Pacific Oceans.
In this regard, Peskov told reporters: “We heard a stateme from the Panamanian governme and the represeatives of Panama, who at least expressed surprise regarding such a position of the elected American preside, but in any case, these issues are related to their bilateral relations.” We repeat, we carefully monitor such statemes.”
