Reuters: Germany will lead European negotiations to reduce sanctions on Syria – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Reuters news agency, the governme of Bashar al-Assad was finally overthrown with the extensive support of the western couries and some regional couries to the armed and terrorist groups in Syria. Western couries are now seeking political support for Syrian armed groups.

Based on this, Reuters news agency, quoting knowledgeable sources in the German Foreign Ministry, announced: Berlin is leading the negotiations of the European Union to reduce the level of sanctions against Syria.

Since 2011, the European Union, along with the United States, imposed a wide range of sanctions against the Syrian governme under various pretexts, including human rights violations, which coributed to the economic weakening of the coury.

Turkey, the biggest supporter of the terrorist regime in Syria, has asked the western couries to lift their sanctions against Damascus after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s governme and thereby help stabilize Syria.
