Trump’s economic and military threat against Greenland and other couries

In his statemes, the preside-elect of the United States threatened the regions he was to join the United States by using military and economic pressure.
According to RCO News Agency, Preside-elect Donald Trump addressed many issues in a press conference on Tuesday evening, including the ongoing war in Gaza, Ukraine, developmes in Syria and his desire to join the Panama Canal, Greenland and Canada to the United States.
At the beginning of his press conference, he said that he will use economic and military pressure to “connect” the Panama Canal and Greenland.
In response to a question about his desire to annex Canada to the United States, Trump said that “we will not use military pressure, we will use economic pressure.”
Referring again to Denmark’s opposition to the annexation of Greenland to America, he claimed: “Denmark should join Greenland to America in order to protect the free world from Russian and Chinese ships.”
Trump’s claim about “protecting the free world” is while his statemes about the annexation of Canada, the Panama Canal and Greenland to the United States have been likened to a “shopping list” by his son, and all the citizens of the meioned areas have opposed Trump’s statemes.
According to the American publication “Washington Post”, the statemes of the preside-elect of this coury regarding Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal, which he iends to consider as part of the United States, are part of a policy to “confro Russia and China”.
In the coinuation of his press conference, Trump also referred to Turkish Preside Recep Tayyip Erdogan and said: “He (Erdogan) is my friend.” I like him and he is a respectable person for me. I believe he also respects me.”
He further meioned Syria and said: “Turkey has occupied Syria.” They have been seeking to corol Syria for 2,000 years.”
Referring to the Gaza war, Trump also said in a threatening stateme: “If the prisoners (Zionist prisoners held by Hamas) are not released before my inauguration, hell will break loose.” This will not be good for Hamas. Hell will break loose.”
He we on to say, corary to his previous statemes that he would end the war in Ukraine within “one day”, he said: “I hope the war in Ukraine will end within 6 mohs.”
Trump also said: “We will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.”
Coinuing his previous statemes, he reiterated: “I will impose heavy tariffs against Canada and Mexico.”
On Dec. 18, Trump said he would consider adding Canada to the United States as the 51st state, saying such a move could significaly reduce costs for Canadians.
He also previously jokingly called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau the “governor of the great state of Canada,” amid coroversy over the possibility of US tariffs on Canadian goods after Trump takes office. The Canadian governme responded by saying that it is determined to defend the coury’s ierests, considering the commes of the future preside of the United States, who called Canada an “American state”.
On December 22, Trump also said that due to the high tariffs for crossing the Panama Canal, he will demand the quick return of the Panama Canal to the ownership of the United States. The politician emphasized that the Panama Canal is vital to American trade, as well as to the rapid deployme of American naval forces in the Atlaic and Pacific Oceans. After that, the Preside of Panama, Jose Raul Molino, called his statemes a manifestation of gross historical ignorance.
Also, Trump called the ownership of Greenland “absolutely necessary” for the United States. On the same day, the Prime Minister of Greenland responded to Trump’s words and said that Greenland is not for sale and will never be for sale.
Donald Trump’s statemes about the possibility of Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal becoming part of the US territory were widely reflected in the world media. This idea, which looks more like the geopolitical dreams of the 19th ceury, has not only caused a lot of criticism, but also its various political, economic and social aspects have been discussed.
These statemes of Trump, although more like an ambitious plan, could indicate his vision of strengthening the so-called “global position” of the United States. This policy, despite the poteial benefits it may have economically and geopolitically for Washington, faces serious political, social and economic challenges. But in the end, the implemeation of such an idea requires iernational and domestic consensus, which seems difficult to achieve in the curre world.
