Lavrov: The situation in Syria has no effect on the strategic partnership agreeme between Russia and Iran – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Sputnik, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that the curre situation in Syria after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s governme will not change the strategic partnership agreeme between Moscow and Tehran, and this agreeme is ready to be signed.
In response to the possibility of amendmes to the strategic partnership agreeme between Russia and Iran due to the situation in Syria, Lavrov said: This new “big” agreeme, the text and coes of which have been prepared for a long time and reached an agreeme between the parties, is comprehensive, long-term and has a “four-chapter” nature. and from this poi of view, it does not need any amendmes.
According to the senior Russian diplomat, the purpose of the said agreeme is to legally consolidate the unprecedeed progress that has been achieved in rece years in the bilateral relations of the parties and register their ery io the level of strategic partnership.
