According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Vice Preside for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, quaum technologies, as one of the most importa scieific innovations, have the poteial to fundameally change people’s lives. These technologies are creating a huge revolution in various fields and are quickly recognized as one of the main projector technologies in the world.
In this regard, the role of the Presideial Office of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy in the developme and effective use of these technologies is significa.
Quaum technologies refer to technologies that are built using the laws of quaum mechanics; Quaum mechanics is a science that deals with the knowledge of very small particles such as atoms and photons (particles that make up light) and the laws that govern them.
This science has many differences from Newtonian and classical mechanics, which are the basis of many tools of modern life. Because of these differences, it is possible to use quaum science to achieve technologies that are far more advanced than their classical couerparts.
Quaum technologies are generally categorized io three areas: quaum computing and computing, quaum communication, and quaum sensing.
The role of scieific assista in the developme of quaum technologies
The Scieific Vice-Chancellor, as a policy-making body in the field of science and technology of the coury, has formulated comprehensive plans for the developme of quaum technologies.
One of the biggest challenges is the lack of specialized human resources in this field. The accuracy of education and training of forces that can work in various fields such as mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, mechanics, electricity, materials and information technology is considered one of the priorities of this deputy.
In this regard, the Presideial Vice-Chancellor for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy iends to support its teaching in engineering fields by using the capacity of university professors in engineering fields and in order to familiarize studes of these fields with quaum sciences and technologies.
The National Science Foundation of Iran, as the executor of this program, will play a ceral role in its manageme and implemeation.
Based on this, taleed and capable professors in teaching quaum sciences and technologies in engineering fields are invited to participate in this program by providing educational topics to prese a lesson related to quaum sciences and technologies that is customized for the engineering field.
After receiving the proposals of the professors from the National Science Foundation, the submitted titles will be judged and finally the top 20 proposals will be supported by the foundation.
The deadline for submitting designs is March 1st, and the judging of selected designs will coinue uil May 15. These plans will be implemeed from June 1, 1404 to be preseed in classrooms from October 1404.
The amou of this support is estimated at 150 million Tomans per period. The regulations of this call will soon be available to those ierested on the website of the National Science Foundation and the headquarters of the science-based economy developme of artificial ielligence, laser and quaum.
