Zanjan Salt Men Museum is one of the most attractive museums in Iran, which displays the remains of salt men discovered in Cheharabad Mine, Zanjan. This museum is located in the historic Zulfiqari mansion in the ceer of Zanjan city and tells an amazing story from the dista past. Salt men are the mummified remains of humans naturally preserved by coact with salt. The first discovery of these remains took place in 1372, and so far six mummies belonging to the Achaemenid and Sasanian periods have been extracted from this mine. These mummies provide valuable information about the lifestyle, clothing and tools used in ancie times due to their coverings, tools and accessories. In Mardan Namaki Museum, in addition to seeing mummy remains, you can see objects related to them such as leather boots, iron tools and even food remains. The museum space is designed in a way that takes visitors to the dista past and strengthens the sense of connection with history.
