Akhundzadeh stated that the winners of the festival should not be people who give the wrong signal and message to the coury’s young researchers, and said: As a university professor, if I see a stude who has, for example, 80 articles, I do not see it as a good thing. A stude in the lower education level cannot have 80 articles.
He added: “If I choose these people, I will send a wrong message to the community of young researchers.” This is not a researcher who can be iroduced as the chosen researcher of Razi Festival.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health; A very good and influeial article in the coury and the world is much better than an article that has no impact; So we will choose that one article.
Akhundzadeh said about adjusting the score of GBD articles in the Razi Festival: We divide the number of citations of this article by the number of authors of the article. Provided that the person is not the first author or the responsible author of that article.
Research is disarmed without funding
In response to a reporter’s question about the scieific rank of the coury, he said: In the sixth and seveh developme plans, it was stated that we should rank first in the region. Akhundzadeh poied out: A large part of the drop in the scieific rank of the coury is related to the economic situation of the coury.
