Ankara: We are in coact with the couries of the region about the situation in Syria
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey stated that Ankara has been in coact with the couries of the region regarding the Syrian issue, and claimed that the problems in this coury are due to “the governme’s lack of atteion to the demands of the opposition”.
According to RCO News Agency, Admiral Zaki Akturk, the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey, said in a press conference on Thursday: We emphasize that in order to establish stability, peace and security in the region, a permane ceasefire must be established in Gaza as soon as possible. We also invite the iernational community to their conscieious responsibility.
Akturk said: Israel coinues to threaten the security and stability of our region, deprives the Palestinian people of all human conditions, and carries out unjust and illegal attacks and occupations in Gaza and the West Bank.
Referring to the developmes in Syria, this official of the Turkish Ministry of Defense said: We closely prioritize the activities started by the opposition groups in Aleppo and the related developmes that are related to the territorial iegrity of Syria and the fight against terrorism. We follow up closely.
Stating that he has been in coact with his couerparts in the region since the beginning and that there is cooperation and coordination, he claimed that “problems in Syria are due to the governme’s lack of atteion to the demands of the opposition, which have not been resolved for a long time.”
This official of the Turkish Ministry of Defense coinued: “Türkiye is complying with the agreemes it made in the operational areas in northern Syria, and we expect our parties to comply with it as well.”
Akturk added: We support the territorial iegrity of Syria and we will not allow the PKK terrorist organization, which is a serious threat, to be a threat to the region and instability.
The spokesman of the Turkish Ministry of Defense said: Our position regarding the fight against terrorist organizations active in the region is clear.
He also stated: During the last week, 9 members of a terrorist organization were arrested, as well as 177 people who were trying to cross the border illegally, and 2,251 people were preveed from crossing the border.
