The Hijab and Chastity Law has specified duties for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in its work areas.
The final text of the law “Protection of the family through the promotion of the culture of chastity and hijab”, known as the hijab law, has been prepared and finalized in 74 articles and a total of 5 chapters after many back-and-forths between the parliame and the Guardian Council. In the section on the duties of the institutions and under the duties of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, some things have been specified about this law.
Article 24 – The Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts is obliged to perform the following tasks in order to fulfill the goals of this law:
1- Cultural planning of Islamic tourism and design of Iranian Islamic patterns in organizing various tourist tours;
2- Monitoring through the preparation and formulation of executive guidelines for tourism and tourist service offices, accommodation and catering facilities, museums and historical buildings in order to promote the culture of chastity and hijab in supervised places and use the capacity of professional tourism organizations;
3. Examining the general and specialized qualifications of applicas for work in the ceers covered by the ministry, including managers, operators and employees of travel and tourism service offices, accommodation ceers, and the reception of tourist guides by the Ministry of Home Security in order to preve the ery of unqualified people io the aforemeioned jobs in order to ensure moral security for families in these ceers and amending the releva regulations based on this law;
4. Informing tourists about the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Islamic and cultural affairs and supervising foreign tourist groups in order to comply with Islamic affairs and explain the family-orieed Islamic lifestyle;
5. Designing and implemeing family-orieed Islamic lifestyle training and “Culture of Chastity and Hijab” in the headlines of general tourism courses with the cooperation of the Islamic Propaganda Organization for the covered institutions;
6- Establishing a family-orieed travel and tourism institution by using the iegrated iellige tourism system in order to publicize tourism and use the facilities and welfare services of various institutions in such a way that annually at least forty perce (40%) of the places are available to couples in the first two years of marriage of families with Three or more children and persons and families iroduced by releva institutions should be placed.
7. Monitoring, ideifying and preveing unauthorized activities in the real and virtual space of tourism and eertainme through the Islamic Republic of Iran Police Command (Faraja) and iroducing them to the judicial authority
It is also stated in Article 41 of this law:
If in the place of acquiring a virtual or non-virtual profession or occupation, their owners or employees in any way commit nudity, impurity, hijab or ill-dressing, in addition to applying the prescribed punishme for the perpetrator, the owner of the profession or occupation in the first instance to a fine of the fifth degree with two mohs of profit from the income of that job, whichever is more, and at the discretion of the judge, the ban on leaving the coury for six mohs to two years, and at the next level, a monetary penalty of the fourth degree or four mohs of the profit from the income of that job, whichever is more, and The ban on leaving the coury is punishable by six mohs to two years.
Note 1 – Tourist routes and places are considered as places of business of officials with operators or owners of groups and tours (tours) and tourist camps, whether official or unofficial.
