A NATO military official said businesses in Western couries should prepare for a war scenario and Western rivals using the economy as a weapon.

“If we can make sure that all esseial services and goods can be delivered regardless of the circumstances, we have secured a key part of our deterrence power,” he said.
He said that deterrence is beyond military capability, because all tools are used in war.
He added: “We see this in an increasing number of acts of sabotage, and Europe has also seen it in the field of energy supply.”
Referring to Europe’s dependence on Russian gas, he said: “We thought we had an agreeme with Gazprom, but actually we had an agreeme with Vladimir Putin, the preside of Russia. The same applies to Chinese-owned infrastructure and goods. “Our agreeme is actually with Xi Jinping, the Preside of China.”
This military official also poied to the dependence of Western couries on the supply of raw materials from China and reminded that 60% of rare earth materials are produced in China and 90% of them are processed in this coury.
He added: “If we think that the Chinese Communist Party will never use this power, we are naive. “Business leaders in Europe and America must understand that their business decisions have strategic implications for the security of nations.”
Bauer also coinued: “Businesses must be prepared for a war scenario and adjust their production and distribution lines accordingly, because although military force may win battles, it is the economies that win the war.”
