Kremlin’s request to end attacks on civilian targets in West Asia

According to Isna, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated in a press conference today (Monday) that Russia demands an end to attacks on civilian targets in West Asia and that civilians should not be victims of war.

He told reporters: “Of course, we wa an end to attacks on civilian targets, and it is very importa that civilians do not become victims of civilian attacks.”

Peskov also said that while supporters of the US preside-elect are talking about peace in Ukraine, the outgoing US administration under Preside Joe Biden coinues to escalate the war.

Mike Waltz, who was nominated by Donald Trump as the national security adviser, said on Sunday that the Trump team had plans to work with the Biden administration on the possibility of a peace agreeme between Russia and Ukraine.

Peskov told reporters in response to the position expressed by Waltz: “We also heard the words of the Trump supporters and the options preseed for the positions of the future American governme about peace and the peace plan, but such words are not heard from the mouths of the represeatives of the curre governme, and this is in Meanwhile, its actions in line with the escalation of tension and provocations have coinued uil now. This is the reality we are facing.”

The Kremlin spokesperson also referred to the rece media reports about the possible appoime of “Alexander Darchev”, the head of the North American Departme of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the new Russian ambassador to the United States, and emphasized that such an appoime is not certain uil it is accompanied by the official decree of the Russian Preside.

“When there is a ruling on this appoime, we will inform you accordingly,” a Kremlin spokesman told reporters. As you know, we do not announce personnel appoimes.

The Kremlin spokesman poied to the return of 46 resides of the Kursk region from Ukraine to their homes and stated that this eve was achieved as a result of a series of very difficult negotiations.

Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova said on Friday that 46 resides of Russia’s Kursk region have returned home as a result of a negotiation process with Ukraine.

Peskov poied out: “Such agreemes have been reached as a result of very difficult negotiations. “These difficult negotiations have been held through various channels and every possible measure has been taken to ensure that all our citizens return to their homeland.”

Peskov stated that European couries have not yet reached a consensus on this matter, despite what they say about the provocative proposal to send troops to Ukraine.

Asked whether the Kremlin is aware of discussions in Europe about the possibility of sending troops or private military companies to Ukraine if Trump ends support for Ukraine, he noted: “Of course, there have been such proposals before.” It has been proposed in various European capitals, but various opposing argumes have been proposed against it. Therefore, there is no consensus among Europeans about this issue.”

He added: “It is not yet clear how true these reports are and what their discussions are really about.”
