According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Iran Science Foundation, Palestine and its issues have a long-standing and historical link with the cultural and religious life of Muslims and are tied to major issues and iernational policies in the world. The historical aiquity of this land and its role in the social and political developmes of the Islamic world along with the territorial sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the one hand, the emergence of wide-ranging conflicts between Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) along with geopolitical confroations in this region and the occupation of its lands by Israel on the other hand. Therefore, it has caused Palestine to always be in the focus of researchers’ atteion.
With the iensification of the Palestinian issue and the Gaza crisis on October 7, 2023, and the occurrence of human tragedies in the occupied territories and the encroachme of the usurping Israeli regime on the lands of the West Bank, numerous historical, political, legal, artistic, psychological and generally social questions were formed in the field of Palestinian studies. Its reflection cast a shadow on global politics, and at the same time, there are many questions about Palestine that need to be answered by scieific ceers and academic circles.
Based on this, Iran Science Foundation iends to support scieific research in the form of research projects, doctoral and postdoctoral theses in order to explain and analyze the various aspects of this wide-ranging and importa issue in line with the following axes.

The proposed axes of the researches are as follows:
A) History and political geography and historical ahropology of Palestine
b) Palestine’s ancie and civilizational heritage
c) Environme, climate and the Palestinian issue
t) The Palestinian issue from the perspective of political science and iernational relations and law
d) Palestine from the poi of view of demography and social psychological studies and sociology (including the issue of immigras and refugees)
c) Represeation of the Palestinian issue in literature and art
c) Represeation of the Palestinian issue in mainstream media and social media
h) Palestine in the field of art, literature and performing arts, architecture and urban planning
k) Palestine and economic and cultural-social futurism from a local, regional and world perspective
d) Investigating Iran’s foreign policy on the Palestinian issue with historical and futuristic approaches
z) Evaluating the policies and performance of iernational institutions as well as differe couries, including the couries of the Islamic world, the region, Europe, America, etc., in the Palestinian issue.
Qualified
This call supports research projects, post-doctoral projects and doctoral theses.

Expected outputs
In this call, in addition to scieific publications including articles in prestigious iernational and domestic journals, the authoring of books and articles related to the field of research in iernational languages such as Arabic, English, etc. will receive special support.

* Research project: 350 million Tomans
* Doctoral dissertation: 110 million Tomans
* Post-doctoral plan: equivale to 100% of the first assista professor’s salary
