According to RCO News Agency, citing the public relations of Isfahan University of Technology, on Monday, our coury’s team won the title of the best team in the second iernational nanotechnology stude Olympiad in Malaysia.
According to this report, the Iranian national team won the top title in the fields of innovation, technology and market by preseing the research project “Production of hydrogen-free fuel using sunlight” in this competition.
The members of this team consist of Hamidreza Ghorbani, a PhD stude in materials engineering, Nima Dehghan, a bachelor’s stude in materials engineering, and Masoud Attapur As a supervisor, they are from Isfahan University of Technology.
Malaysia’s iernational nanotechnology competition started on Saturday this week (November 26) and ended today with the iroduction of the top teams.
Represeatives of five Asian couries including Iran, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan competed in this eve in Kuala Lumpur for 2 days by preseing scieific and commercial projects in the field of nano.
Selected projects that can be preseed in this course about global challenges in the field of nanotechnology applications in the developme and production of new (alternative) energies, including energy It was wind, solar, nuclear, tidal, geothermal, biomass and hydrogen fuel.
The research project “Production of hydrogen-free fuel using sunlight” belonging to the Isfahan University of Technology group was selected from among 15 research projects of Iranian universities and eered the Malaysian Olympiad.
In the plan preseed by the Isfahan University of Technology, the water in the device is converted io hydrogen fuel by shining sunlight on the designed nanoplate. Hydrogen fuel is a clean fuel that can be produced without the emission of greenhouse gases and can be used in a variety of energy applications.
The first edition of this Olympiad in 2018 was hosted by Tehran with the participation of teams from eight couries: Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, Germany, Italy, England and Iran, and the second edition was hosted by Malaysia this year after a 6-year hiatus due to the Corona epidemic. was held
Nano Olympiad was iroduced and welcomed for the first time in the world by the initiative and proposal of Iran’s Special Headquarters for the Developme of Nano Technology in iernational forums, including the Asian Nano Forum.
