Germany’s finance minister was dismissed / Schultz’s coalition governme collapsed – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by AFP, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz fired Finance Minister Christian Lindler.
Schultz said Linder served his party rather than the public ierest.
The German chancellor told reporters that whoever joins the governme must act with responsibility and trust and cannot run away when things get difficult, he must be ready to make concessions in the ierests of all German citizens.
On the other hand, German Economy Minister Robert Habik from the Green Party told reporters that even though the Free Democratic Party has left the chancellor’s coalition, the Green Party will still remain part of Schultz’s coalition.
Habik said: Germany will take new decisions regarding the coalition of the future governme and uil then we will remain in our positions and we are loyal and committed to our duty.
Schultz’s three-party coalition governme collapsed on Wednesday night after the coury’s finance minister was fired over disagreemes over economic reforms.
The ouster came after the three parties had heated disagreemes over how to revive Germany’s faltering economy and the budget.
The crisis may also lead to early elections in Germany in March, but the Green Party is looking to coinue working in a minority governme uil next September when scheduled elections are held.
On the other hand, Schultz is also trying to coinue the presidency of the minority governme with the presence of the Social Democratic Party and the Greens.
