Ruthe: Russia’s operation weakens NATO
While poiing to the concern of Western couries, NATO Secretary General admitted that Russia is weakening and discording among NATO members with its operations and actions.
According to Isna, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Monday during his trip to Berlin and meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz thanked this coury for its military aid to Ukraine and said: “I am from Germany as the largest European donor of military aid. I thank Ukraine and saving lives on the battlefield.”
According to Deutsche Welle’s report, the NATO Secretary General claimed: “I am warning against Russia’s hybrid attacks against NATO allies, and Ukraine will not be the only fro line of this war.”
While referring to Russia’s operation against Ukraine, Mark Rutte admitted: “Russia’s operation weakens, divides and divides NATO, but NATO is ready for preveive measures and defense against these threats.”
“National Ierest” magazine wrote in a report about this on Monday: “Although NATO has the resources to protect Ukraine, the differences and factionalism among the members of this military alliance weaken NATO’s goals. “Also, NATO’s political will is currely not enough to guaraee Ukraine’s victory in the war against Russia, and this issue could lead to the destruction of Ukraine as an independe coury.”
Referring to the 2024 NATO meeting in Washington DC, NATO Secretary General said: “The NATO meeting in Washington committed to the irreversible path towards NATO membership. “I know that one day Ukraine will become a member of NATO.”
Expressing hope that Germany will take measures to coinue aid to Ukraine, Rutte said: “As a former prime minister, I know that it is not easy for governmes to allocate funds and aid to Ukraine, but this action is necessary for our collective security.”

Chancellor of Germany and Secretary General of NATO in Berlin
Since the beginning of Russian military operations in Ukraine (February 24, 2022), Western couries, including Germany, as the second supporter of Kyiv after the United States, have se extensive financial aid and military equipme to Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly asked the West to stop the “pumping” of arms to Ukraine and insists that the coinuation of such a process will prolong the conflicts and hostilities between Russia and Ukraine.
On the eve of the 2024 US presideial election, the NATO Secretary General noted that whether “Kamala Harris” or “Donald Trump” win the election, we will work with them and ensure that the NATO alliance remains united. I have no doubt that they do not wa to repeat the mistake of the First World War and withdrawal from Europe.
There is no need for new decisions about Ukraine
During this meeting, the German chancellor emphasized Berlin’s military support to Kiev and said: “Germany’s military spending has doubled in the last seven years, and I also promise to resolutely coinue on this path.” Europe will also make significa investmes in this direction in the coming years.”
Regarding Ukraine’s membership in NATO, Shults emphasized: “Decisions were made at the NATO meeting in 2023 in Vilnius and 2024 in Washington regarding the war in Ukraine, and now there is no need for new decisions because the situation has not changed.”
More than 2 and a half years have passed since the war in Ukraine and there is still no prospect of peace in this coury. This is while some western couries, especially the United States of America, instead of focusing on diplomatic solutions to resolve this conflict, insist on sending financial and military aid to Kiev, and on the other hand, Russia has repeatedly poied out that the coinuation of such a process will only increase this war. It makes it longer.
In the end, Shults emphasized, referring to Ukraine’s weapons and ammunition: “Currely, the most importa thing is that Ukraine’s weapons do not run out.”
Although the Western couries are scrambling to partially compensate for the lack of weapons for Ukraine, the coury is facing a difficult situation in terms of lack of forces on the battlefield.
