The director of the National Security Service of Armenia announced that Yerevan has not made a decision about the withdrawal of Russian border guards from the border crossing of Armenia with Iran and Türkiye.
According to Isna, Armen Abazian, director of the National Security Service of Armenia, told reporters on Monday evening: “Until this moment, Armenia has not made a decision about the withdrawal of Russian border guards from the border crossing between Armenia and Iran and between Armenia and Turkey.”
According to the report of the Russian News agency “Tass”, he told reporters: “Over time, the Armenian border guard forces will acquire the necessary capabilities to guard the border crossings of Armenia with Turkey and Iran.”
