Zelensky preveed Guterres from visiting Ukraine
After the Secretary General of the United Nations traveled to Russia last week to participate in the BRICS meeting, the Preside of Ukraine blocked his trip to his coury.
According to Isna, the BRICS annual meeting was held from October 22 to 24 (November 1 to 3) in the city of Kazan, Russia, and the leaders of several couries, including UN Secretary General Aonio Guterres, were prese at the meeting. The meeting, which from the perspective of many political and economic analysts and even the Western media, was the diplomatic power of Russian Preside Vladimir Putin and also showed the isolation of the West in the world.
“After the BRICS meeting in Kazan, Guterres waed to visit Ukraine, but Zelensky did not approve his trip,” AFP reported on Friday, citing anonymous sources in the Ukrainian presideial office.
“Therefore, Guterres will not be in Ukraine because of the violation of iernational law and reasonable action,” one of the sources claimed in an ierview with AFP.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine criticized the action of the UN Secretary General to accept Russia’s invitation to attend the BRICS meeting, but rejected Ukraine’s request to participate in the peace meeting.
According to the Reuters News agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine claimed on X social network: “The Secretary General of the United Nations rejected Ukraine’s invitation to the first peace conference in Switzerland, but accepted Putin’s invitation to the BRICS meeting.” This is a wrong choice that does not lead to peace and only destroys the image of the United Nations.”
