
“Secret image sharing with encryption based on homogeneous recursive relations” is the title of the research project of Samaneh Mashhadi, a member of the academic staff of the University of Science and Technology, which was carried out with the support of the National Science Foundation of Iran.
According to RCO News Agency, The use of mathematical codes in the computer world is esseial for researchers, and therefore the National Science Foundation of Iran encourages researchers to research in this field by supporting research projects in this field.
Mashhadi, Ph.D. in cryptography from the University of Science and Technology, explained about this plan: With the expansion of the exchange and storage of importa image information on the Iernet, such as the use of cloud servers, the need to create security for this kind of information increases. Also, images, especially with jpeg structure, are considered the most importa cover media in hiding secret information on the Iernet due to their small size and high quality.
He added: As a result, the existence of effective methods for their safe storage will be of great importance, and today a large budget is allocated to research in this field.
This researcher further stated: The main goal of this plan is to prese new secret sharing plans combined with encryption based on recursive linear homogeneous relationships, so that the shared information is transmitted without attracting the atteion of others.
Quoting from the public relations of the National Science Foundation of Iran (INSF), he added: By using the sequence obtained from homogeneous relations, we can reduce the size of suspicious coributions and increase the capacity of stealth. Also, by changing the order of the secret pixels, we increase the resistance of our design against mining attacks.
In the end, Mashhadi poied out: The results of this project’s technical knowledge can be used in cases such as copyright, e-commerce security, maiaining the security of images in military departmes, maiaining medical and confideial secrets of paties, and voting.
