Moscow: Ukraine’s accession to NATO makes the alliance’s direct involveme in the conflict inevitable
The official of the Russian Foreign Ministry warned that the joining of Kyiv to NATO in the curre situation destroys any possibility of a political solution to the war in Ukraine.
According to RCO News Agency, Alexey Polishchuk, the head of the second departme of the Russian Foreign Ministry in the affairs of neighboring couries, warned about Ukraine’s possible membership in the North Atlaic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Speaking to the Sputnik News agency, he said: “Kiev’s joining NATO in the curre situation eliminates the possibility of a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine and makes the direct involveme of this alliance in military operations against Russia inevitable.”
In response to a question about the rece statemes of Peter Sziarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Polishchuk stated this position that Ukraine’s joining NATO would mean a direct confroation between this alliance and Russia and lead to the third world war.
The official of the Russian Foreign Ministry poied out: We constaly warn about the danger of Ukraine joining NATO.
He clarified: Ukraine’s poteial accession to this coalition ends the possibilities of a political and diplomatic solution to the war and makes it inevitable that NATO directly participates in hostilities against Russia and leads to an uncorollable escalation of the situation.
