The Assembly of Arab States, in its final stateme at the meeting of the World Ier-Parliameary Union, while condemning the coinuation of the “crimes of the Zionist regime” against the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, called for an immediate and permane ceasefire.
In another part of this stateme, the Assembly of Arab States calls for “stopping the occupation of the Zionists, supporting the formation of an independe Palestinian state throughout the Palestinian territories with the Holy City as its capital, the implemeation of resolutions 2713, 2720 and 2735 of the United Nations Security Council regarding a complete ceasefire in the occupied territories, freedom and the exchange of prisoners and the sending of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the withdrawal of Zionist forces from this strip.
The 149th meeting of the Iernational Ier-Parliameary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland started on the morning of Sunday, October 22 and will coinue uil Thursday (October 26). The Ier-Parliameary Union was founded in 1889 and its main goal is to promote peace and cooperation among nations through dialogue between the world’s parliames.
