Blinken: The ceasefire on the Lebanese border provides an opportunity to resolve the situation in Gaza
US Secretary of State Ahony Blinken said on Thursday that a ceasefire on the border between Lebanon and the Zionist regime will benefit all involved parties.
According to RCO News Agency, Blinken stated in an ierview with “MSNBC” that the ceasefire on the border of the Zionist regime and Lebanon provides an opportunity to try to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
He said: “If we can reach a truce in the north (of Israel), it can create an atmosphere and even an inceive to try to reach a truce in the Gaza Strip.”
Blinken further emphasized that such a scenario would benefit all parties involved.
The head of the US diplomatic service said that the ceasefire could “make it possible to end the violence and provide an opportunity to achieve lasting peace and security for the people of the Gaza Strip and Israel.”
The US Secretary of State coinued: “We believe that the best way to achieve a ceasefire is through diplomacy to reach an agreeme to create a safe environme, move troops away from the border and return people to their homes.”
Blinken also requested that they be given enough time and space to reach a diplomatic solution.
The US Secretary of State stated that a full-scale war will preve people on both sides of the border from returning to their homes.
According to Blinken, a full-scale war in the Middle East will involve not only Iran, but also other couries of the Arab world. He emphasized that this issue “will have great consequences for us.”
