German Institute: The army is not ready for war

According to a new report, it is clear that Germany has failed in creating and forming enough military capabilities to deter Russia and is not ready for a war.
According to Isna, the report of the German “Kiel Institute” states that Germany’s defense budget is not enough and that the coury’s army can hardly replace the weapons it sends to Ukraine.
According to Anatolia News agency, the report blamed the Berlin governme for the lack of defense spending and budgets and stated: “Currely, it will take 100 years for Germany to increase the capacity of the army to the level of 2004.”
It is also stated in this report that while Germany has been lagging behind in the field of defense purchases and investmes over the past 2 years, Russia has significaly increased its weapons manufacturing capacity, including advanced defense systems. Russia’s weapons manufacturing capacity has grown to such an exte that it can produce as many weapons as the eire stockpiles of the German army in less than a year.
The report by the Kiel Institute, a research institute on global issues, also states: “Russia has made great advances in modern combat systems. This coury’s capacity to produce drones has increased more than six times, and its expertise and arsenal of hypersonic missiles is considered a great threat to NATO.
Shortly after the start of the Ukraine war in 2022, German Chancellor Olaf Schulz promised to allocate a budget of 100 billion euros to modernize the army.
His coalition governme also increased defense spending to 52 billion euros this year, but scaled back ambitious plans due to tight budget constrais.
The director of the Kiel Institute also said that the slow progress in procureme for the military and the lack of sufficie funds for major defense projects showed that the promise of the Schultz coalition governme was completely empty.
He added: “Peace will be established when the Moscow governme realizes that it cannot win the war in Europe militarily. For this purpose, Germany and Europe must have reliable military capabilities. “Germany should raise its annual defense budget to at least 100 billion euros every year.”
