The FBI rejected Garland’s claim about Iran’s ierference in the US elections – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, citing Rashatoudi, the represeatives of American ielligence agencies, corary to the baseless claim of the Attorney General of this coury about Iran’s ierference in the 2024 US presideial elections, announced that they have not detected any foreign attempts to directly ierfere in the November elections of this coury.
Officials and represeatives of the Office of National Ielligence (ODNI), the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) and the FBI have confirmed this news. However, these ielligence agencies claim that Russia, Iran and China are trying to influence public opinion and divide the American society!
During the 2016 and 2020 elections of this coury, American ielligence agencies repeatedly claimed that Moscow was using hackers and launching an “information war” to cast votes in the basket of Donald Trump, the former preside of the United States. However, according to a 2019 report by special counsel Robert Meller, all of the allegations were found to be unfounded.
An ODNI official said during a meeting attended by represeatives of several ielligence agencies in Washington: “We have not ideified any foreign actors who seek to ierfere in the 2024 election process.” Instead, the ielligence assessme shows that the adversaries have so far focused on using information and propaganda operations to shape voter preferences or undermine confidence in the ballot box!
Before and in the past years after making such claims, American officials did not bother to explain what they mea by spreading lies and accusing Russia, Iran and China!
According to the US ielligence agencies, these three couries are suspected of trying to “divide the American society for their own benefit”! Without naming names, the ODNI official claimed that some other couries are also planning to ierfere in the US elections.
According to the official of ODNI, “Moscow is the main actor and the most active external threat against this year’s American elections”; Regarding Iran, American ielligence agencies claim that “this coury is making more efforts than in the past to influence this year’s American elections”! On the other hand, they claim, China is more focused on influencing sub-candidate races at the state and local levels. According to these institutions, Beijing seeks to confro ai-China politicians and support pro-China politicians!
The Kremlin described Washington’s claims about Moscow’s attempt to ierfere in the US presideial election as “ridiculous” and Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also emphasized that Russia, like the United States, does not seek to ierfere in the iernal affairs of independe couries.
The claim of American ielligence officials about Iran has also been raised after the US Attorney Merrick Garland claimed last week that some couries, including Iran, are trying to influence the process and results of the US elections. Nasser Kanani,
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic considered these repeated claims to be “baseless, biased and have domestic political uses in the United States and strongly rejected these accusations.” Similarly, China has reacted to the US claims and accusations about election ierference and has denied it.
