Syria condemned the seizure of Maduro’s plane by the United States
In a stateme, the Syrian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the action of the United States in seizing the plane of the Preside of Venezuela and assessed it as a violation of the coury’s sovereigy.
According to RCO News Agency, the stateme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria states: The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the seizure of the plane of Venezuelan Preside Nicolas Maduro in the Dominican Republic by the United States and its transfer to the state of Florida.
According to the SANA News agency, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: Syria emphasizes that this US behavior is an iernational bandit operation and a clear violation of the fundameal principles and rules of iernational law, as well as an attack on the sovereigy of couries.
This ministry emphasized: The governme of the Syrian Arab Republic once again declares its support to the Bolivarian governme and nation of Venezuela against the arrogance of the United States and the efforts of the West to ierfere in the iernal affairs of this coury.
Previously, CNN reported in an exclusive news on Monday evening (September 12) that the United States seized the plane after claiming that the purchase of Nicolas Maduro’s plane was a violation of American sanctions. The US moved the plane to Florida on Monday, according to two US officials.
This is the latest developme in the cold relations between Washington and Caracas, and the seizure of this plane in the Dominican Republic shows the escalation of tension between the two couries. The United States, on the other hand, will coinue to investigate what it sees as corrupt practices by the Venezuelan governme.
The plane has been described by officials as the Venezuelan equivale of Air Force One and has been used by Maduro on previous visits around the world.
