According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Ryanovsti News Agency, Vladimir Putin, the Preside of Russia, has now arrived in Mongolia for an official visit.
The Preside of Russia was welcomed by the honor guard upon his arrival in Mongolia.
According to this media, the visit of the Russian preside is considered coroversial in the situation where Ukraine was to arrest him.
Kyiv had previously asked the Mongolian authorities to arrest Russian Preside Vladimir Putin during his visit to Mongolia, citing the Iernational Criminal Court’s verdict.
In March last year, the Iernational Criminal Court issued an arrest warra for the Preside of Russia, accusing him of war crimes and the illegal migration of hundreds of Ukrainian children from this coury and their transfer to Russia. The Kremlin has strongly denied these accusations and called them politically motivated.
This ruling obliges the 124 members of this court, including Mongolia, to arrest Putin and transfer him to The Hague for trial if he eers the territory of these couries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced in a stateme: We ask the Mongolian authorities to arrest Putin in accordance with the iernational arrest warra.
However, when asked if Moscow is not worried about Mongolia’s membership in the Iernational Criminal Court, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: No. There is nothing to worry about. We have wonderful relations with our friends in Mongolia.
