Minister of Defense of Italy: The production speed of our defense industry does not reach that of Iran and Russia

While criticizing the process of sending weapons to Ukraine, the Italian Defense Minister described the process as “very slow”.
According to RCO News Agency, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosto also criticized Italian defense manufacturers and expressed his disappoime at their speed in fulfilling Ukrainian orders.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the defense minister said: “I am discussing with Italian companies because I have to deliver the Samp-T to Ukraine, but the Italian company responsible for preparing it was closed for the holidays in August. They don’t work on Saturdays and Sundays.”
The SAMP/T system, also known as “Mamba”, is a joi production of Italy and France, which can fire at dozens of targets at the same time and iercept 10 rockets at a time.

In the broader coext of these developmes, Ukrainian Preside Volodymyr Zelenskyy has again called for increased military aid from Western allies and has emphasized the urge need for advanced weapon systems and ammunition to couer Russia’s iensified advance.
According to reports, Ukrainian forces are strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and preparing for a prolonged and iense defense of the city.
