Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan: The Constitution of Armenia is the biggest obstacle to peace

In his speech, Jihon Bayramov considered Armenia to be the biggest obstacle to achieving a peace agreeme between Baku and Yerevan.
According to Isna, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jihun Bayramov said in a News conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday: “The Azerbaijani side has preseed a draft peace agreeme and 5 basic principles to Armenia.”
He coinued: “Currely, the biggest obstacle in completing the peace agreeme is the territorial claims in the Armenian constitution against our coury.”
In another part of his speech, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan said: “Rapid arming of Armenia by third couries is a cause for concern. We believe that this policy is wrong and should be considered as a source of threat to the region.”
Referring to the close relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey, he said: These are relations of mutual support, strategic partnership and alliance. We believe that the policy of our couries will bring peace, security and stability to the region.
Bayramov said about the Ighdir-Nakhchivan pipeline: “The construction of this natural gas pipeline will be completed soon. “The energy projects of the two couries will change the energy roadmap of the eire Eurasian region.”
Also, Hakan Fidan said in this news conference: “Turkey and Azerbaijan have always been one nation and two governmes.” From now on, they will be together in good and bad days.”
He added: “I believe that in the coming period we will coinue the close cooperation and brotherhood and friendship between the two couries.”
Fidan stated that they discussed the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and emphasized that Azerbaijan and Turkey will coinue to take joi steps to establish peace in the region.
Fidan further thanked Bayramov and announced that he will travel to Azerbaijan as soon as possible.
