Zakharova: Armenia blames Russia for its mistakes
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a stateme that Yerevan is trying to iroduce Moscow as the cause of its “strategic mistakes”.
According to RCO News Agency, on Wednesday evening, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters at a press conference: “Yervan’s reaction to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s stateme regarding the implemeation of tripartite agreemes indicates Armenia’s attempt to iroduce Russia as He is the cause of his own strategic mistakes.”
Earlier, during his visit to Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Russian Foreign Minister told reporters that “the Prime Minister of Armenia is ruining the tripartite (Sivnik) agreemes on Karabakh” and he said that Russia is trying to conclude It is early for a peace treaty and the unblocking of communications from Zangzor, said that “unfortunately, it is the Armenian leadership that thwarted the agreeme signed by Prime Minister Pashinyan, regarding communications from the Sivnik region of Armenia.”

According to the report of the Russian News agency “Tass”, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, referring to Yerevan’s critical stateme against Lavrov, said: “In the past, we have seen such reactions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia against the statemes of Sergey Lavrov.” This stateme is another example of Yerevan’s efforts to blame others as the perpetrators of its strategic and calculation mistakes.
Zakharova noted: “By sabotaging the tripartite agreemes, Yerevan once again acted on the orders of the West and lost the opportunity to create communication routes, transport and try to normalize the conditions in the Caucasus region for the benefit of its economy.”
Finally, he asked the authorities of Yerevan to “not allow the Westerners to derail the efforts made in rece years to create peace and stability in the region.” “This issue is an importa issue considering the desire of the United States and the European Union to expel Russia from the South Caucasus region and create tension and divide in the relations of the couries of the region, especially the relations of Armenia with other couries.”
Earlier, during his visit to Baku, Russian Preside Vladimir Putin expressed his willingness to mediate in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace agreeme.
Regarding the peace treaty between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, he said: “If we can do something to advance the process of signing the peace agreeme and advance the situation towards clearing the borders from military forces and delimiting their boundaries, we will be very happy about this.”
Putin also noted that he will discuss the results of his meeting with Azerbaijani Preside Ilham Aliyev with the Prime Minister of Armenia and emphasized Russia’s willingness to participate in the settleme between Baku and Yerevan if both sides need it.
Putin also emphasized Russia’s eagerness to participate in the signing of the peace treaty and demarcation of the border between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
