The 90 cm Varda capsule has recorded the eire process of re-landing to the earth through the camera inside the capsule.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, the Winnebago spacecraft, which belongs to Varda Space Industries, was able to make a successful landing on February 21 in the testing and training area of Utah. Inside this 90 cm capsule was a camera that was able to record stunning images of the mome of re-eering the earth.
The 5-minute video, captured by a camera inside the capsule, ends with a pair of shoes approaching to collect parachutes and retrieve the capsule. In this video, in addition to the images, there is also sound, so that the sound of the capsule re-eering the ground and its landing can be considered as an attractive sound.
A 27-minute unedited video from separation to re-landing was also recorded by the camera. The Varda company announced on the X social network when it released this video that this is a raw video of the Varda capsule at the time of splitting the atmosphere, moving at a speed of Mach 25, and you can see it now.
A part of Rocket Lab's Photon spacecraft was launched io space in the SpaceX transport mission. Varda has used this spacecraft to test manufacturing technologies in space. In an ierview about this experime, Varda's CEO Will Berry says: Our goal is to produce pharmaceuticals in space. The gravity-free environme allows us to make drugs with a new chemical process and formulation.
Winnebago was on top of the Photon spacecraft for 8 mohs, providing the capsule's power and propulsion. This capsule can be considered the first team work between Rocket Lab and Varda. The images and data obtained in this mission will also be se by Varda to NASA and the Air Force under the coract with this agency.
