Since long ago, the four main elemes of nature; That is, water, wind, soil and fire have had a special place in differe cultures of the world.
In differe cultures of the world, these elemes are often considered as symbols, concepts and high values of life.
The four main elemes of nature have a special and sacred place in autheic Iranian culture. These elemes have played an importa role in Iranian religious beliefs, mythology, art and even architecture.
In Iranian culture, water is a symbol of life, purity and salvation, and in Iranian mythology, it is a symbol of creation and birth.
In Iranian culture, wind is a symbol of moveme, transformation and life, and in Iranian mythology, it is a symbol of power and authority.
In Iranian culture, soil is a symbol of stability, security and blessing, and in Iranian mythology, it is a symbol of motherhood and nursing.
And finally, in Iranian culture, fire is a symbol of light, knowledge and wisdom, and in Iranian mythology, it is a symbol of strength and courage.
In the world of fashion, nature and the four main elemes are importa sources of inspiration for clothing designers. They have been inspired by these elemes and created creative designs. Recely, two Iranian luxury brands have designed and implemeed a joi collection with the theme of water, wind, soil and fire.
After attending the unveiling of this valuable collection, Sarak's closet team decided to compile a report of this eve for you, dear audience.
4 main elemes of nature; A way to beauty and originality
Jewelry and clothes are two importa items in women's style. Jewelry with its shine and glory add to the charm of women and clothes add to their beauty with their elegance and design. Therefore, the cooperation of jewelry and clothing brands is an opportunity to create unique beauties; Although this type of cooperation that leads to the design and production of a joi product has rarely occurred in the Iranian fashion industry.
Not long ago, Ms. Farshte Rostamian, artistic director of Yasan Tala, in collaboration with Ms. Roya Maghsoudi, clothing designer and creator of the brand of their own name, unveiled a joi collection called “Feria”. Freya, which is a combination of the name Roya and Angel and the name of one of the ancie goddesses, is the result of the collaboration of these two clothing and jewelry brands.
This partnership, which may be boldly said to have occurred in an unprecedeed and unique way in the fashion industry of Iran, also had an attractive concept; The 4 main elemes of nature are water, wind, fire and earth, which are the source of life and the ruler of the world.
This collection consists of 4 main looks. These looks are a combination of wearable, handmade and dreamy Yasan Tala jewelry with beautiful and unique clothes of Roya Maqsoodi fashion house.
Natural elemes; Complemeing modern fashion
As meioned, this collection consists of 4 looks, each of which is a symbol of one of the main elemes. Ms. Maghsoudi wrote a story full of feminine and romaic symbols for the Feria collection with the concept of four main elemes, which is also in line with their brand ideity:
“Water, which is the most hidden and basic eleme of nature, flows on the holy soil – the symbol of growth and birth – and these two romaically merge and seal.
The wind, which is a dynamic eleme, joins water and soil with all the adversities and hardships in the passage of time; And finally, the fire, which is a symbol of maturity and agreeme, burns and nurtures. From the heart of these 4 sacred elemes, a pure, uaied, original and dignified love emerges like a phoenix from the heart of ashes, and this is how the eleme of love also emerges.
Both of them have displayed this romaic and attractive story in a skillful and creative way in clothes and jewelry. They said this about the water dress created by the Maqsoodi brand:
“For me, water is a symbol of purity and clarity; So I performed it in a wedding dress, which is a symbol of femininity and innocence. In this dress, I used cuts and soft lines that show the elegance of the female body more and more beautifully.”
Also, the upper part of the water dress, which was made eirely of gold, is the art of Ms. Rostamian. A unique technique has been used to make this wearable jewelry:
“We used a completely new texture for the top of the dress with the water concept, which is made eirely of gold. The chains were designed and executed as soft and flexible as possible to resemble cloth. To achieve this goal, we did so much trial and error that we were able to create a design from gold as a metal that fits perfectly on the body like clothes and fabric.
The dress with the soil concept, which according to Rostamian and Maqsoodi ladies is a symbol of growth and developme, had beautiful elemes hidden in its heart. For this dress, Ms. Maqsoudi used green, which is a symbol of the earth, and with pleats on the skirt, they poied to the gele spirit of women.
Ms. Rostamian also designed a bodice for this dress, which was decorated with green and white topaz stones. According to him, these diamonds were a symbol of the story of the birth of diamonds that the soil grows in its heart.
And as for the third eleme; Fire!
A skirt with a fiery red fabric, which resembled a phoenix and a Simorgh of Attar Nishabouri's Logical Al-Tair, was executed as beautifully as possible by Mrs. Maghsoudi. The extraordinary and unique upper body of this dress was designed and executed by Yasan in the form of wearable jewelry made of gold. Also, this part of the dress was represeed in the form of mythical Simorgh feathers.
The wind eleme, the last eleme of the Feria collection, has been a symbol of liberation, freedom and dynamism in the eyes of dreams and angels; Female symbols that both of them had an attractive perception of this eleme and displayed in a creative way in their design.
1990s colors were used for the dress with the wind concept. Beautiful twists were created in this dress by means of net, feathers and lace, which were a symbol of moveme and dynamism.
In Bad's dress, a breast flower was considered in the shape of a bird. This breast flower refers to a bird that flies in a tornado and tries to free itself; Like free-thinking women who are always trying to think freely and move in the turmoil of life.
What do you think is the purpose of designing and making such luxurious, painstaking and definitely expensive clothes? This was the question that the wardrobe team asked Mrs. Rostamian and Maqsoodi as the creators of these clothes.
“Our goal in designing and producing these clothes was to express and show the ability and strength of both of us, both in terms of design and execution technique. This pleasa cooperation is considered a distinguishing feature in Iran's clothing and jewelry industry, which was a very enjoyable experience for us.
Considering the rich culture of our coury and the unique tales that exist in Iran, especially in the fashion industry, we hope to see more activities and cooperation in this industry from now on.
