In a dusting attack, the attacker sends small amous of a cryptocurrency (in the term, dust) to cryptocurrency wallets. This type of attack is also called address poisoning attack. The general purpose of this attack is to trick users io accideally copying a fraudule address and sending funds to that address instead of the valid one.
In this regard, Ledger says, users who receive DUST tokens should avoid ieracting with these tokens and should not transfer or send them to another accou or token burning address; Because doing so may activate the malicious smart coract associated with these tokens. Instead, users should right-click on the token and select the Hide Token option to hide the balance of that token from the screen.
Ledger also advises Solana users to never share their recovery password with anyone.
